Are you a first round fool?

For all you people who say the first round is great because of all the upsets, you must not watch any basketball all year. What teams went down in the first round that were "locks" to advance. I mean Kansas was young, Syracuse underachieved all years, Iowa is a perrenial up and downer, and Oklahoma was luckily hobbled their way through 4 straight one point wins at the end of their regular season. So NO!!! The first round is where we learn that some of the big schools are pretenders and teams like Bradley and George Mason aren't given their credit. College basketball regular season is solid across the board. Teams are scouted and destroyed all year long. If Bradley played Duke year in and out they would have a competitive record with them no matter what blue chips duke gets. All right, so why is the third round the best? Because in the third round we get to see monster combat. LSU was rollin, Duke was hitting every bump in the road, WVU was rolling, Texas was rolling fast

Besides my losing, last night was awesome

So let's look at this week

First off: I ran 10 miles on Monday. To me that's a pretty big deal. Before a couple weeks ago 4 miles was my ceiling now I'm close to my June goal of the dam to dam 20k race. I'm running it man. Think I'm crazy, all right I might be but I'm doing it. I am only 2.4 miles away from the distance of the Dam to Dam. I am gonna run another 10 tonight, so eat it. Second: my computer has been in the tank for a little while and the repair guys came out, tried their best but could get it to work. Today they said my computer must have been retarded or something. Well I was drinking the Kool Aid for a while but I refused to give up on this puppy who has been my best friend for the last 5 years. So I DLed the windows service pack 2 and a couple of other goodies. Voila! My computer is up and running. I am a genius. I can go the distance and I can repair a computer left for dead by gurus. Third: I have applied for 4 jobs this week. I am awesome! Now if only I had a job this would

Friday night and I am dragging

Dude, I ran 7.5 miles tonight. I think I could have done another time through my course and worked it up to 10 solid miles... that is my next goal. 10 Miles! That is more than a 15k. A year ago I was so proud when I ran a 5k for the first time. Hells yeah. I am goin to get this marathon bidness down. I averaged 8.5 minutes per mile tonight. Good lord... I am freaking toast right now. I would go to sleep but I don't want to sleep until something crazy like 4am and wake up for good. This weekend I am a loner. With Marieta gone to Minneapolis to vist her friend Sarah and nobody in town hang with I have nothing going down all weekend. I would be going to the Mini Apple as well but Corey was busy with shit all weekend so we're gonna hold off on our reunion for a while. Maybe the Frozen Four or the Final Four. Okay... This kids gotta collapse on the couch. Love you monkies

The Holy Grail

Do you know me? What is my favorite food? (Chicken Fingers) Who is my favorite Restraunt? (Cheddars, primarially for their mind blowing chicken fingers). Well if you ever go out to eat with me chances are I am ordering chicken fingers unless I am at a formal restraunt or somewhere known for a certain dish. NOW! tonight is interesting. I was gonna just eat a turkey sandwich but then I remembered that I had some chicken just chilling out in the fridge needing to be cooked tonight. I wasn't very into it (mainly because I was worried I was going to spend a lot of time for not a lot of tastiness). I couldn't have been more wrong. I took my chicken fingers and dregged in flower, egg, a secret mix of spices, wrapped each in square of mozzarella cheese, toothpicked em shut, and shoved them in the oven. In 12 minutes the kitchen smelled like heaven. Holy jibblets, I'm not sure if it was the mozzarella, the secret spice mix, the buffalo dipping sauce, or the hunger induced from runni

So you may be asking yourself: what is with this big green chair and a half? Well I'll tell you. This past Tuesday (2/28), Marieta and I were bored so we got something to eat and than we went to Pier 1 for some fun. The store was wicker crazy so we left and than I just decided: hey we're out, we're not spending money but we are having fun faux shopping so let's keep this gravy train rolling. NOTE! I AM NOT BUYING ANYTHIGN BECAUSEE I DONT HAVE ANY MONEY!!! THIS IS JUST FOR FUN! Which brings us to Homemakers. Marieta and I just decided let's pick out our favorite in each area (i.e. which we want to buy for our place). Well here it is Chair and a half/Ottoman are the coolest thing on the planet. Marieta and I can sit in this chair and not touch each other. It is huge, deep, comfy. Everything I need in a piece of furniture I love. This is the first buy we make when we move in together and need some furniture. Here is the couch that goes along with the Chair and a half.
