Goats are in my future

Yesterday changed my life. I see no way around it... I must have a small herd of goats. Have you ever played with a baby goat? Trust me, they are probably the cutest (and most fun) animal out there. Marieta and I set out yesterday to see the baby elephant seals at Ana Nuevo yesterday and through our meandering around Pescadero those baby goats melted my heart. Marieta had to pry me away to sample the goat cheese. Those little goat kids were too cute. Whenever Marieta and I move back to Iowa and someday buy a house... I'm getting like four baby goats. Marieta is allergic to Cats and Dogs so it's a struggle for her to be around them, but those goats and the llama seemed fine. One day I will be known as the guy in town who is always walking his goats. Oh yeah.

Networking Out of Control

Facebook, Whrrl, BrightKite, Twitter, Plurk, 12seconds.tv, Orkut, and even Myspace. These are all social networks I am a part of. (I quit myspace like year ago and only rejoined so I could contact someone I had no other way of reaching). This is getting pretty ridiculous. Here is my status with all of these. Whrrl: Joined and immediately forgot. Brightkite: I would use it if I were every near anyone during a reasonable time of day. Twitter : Joined, realized I don't care enough to post microblurbs about mundane details. Plurk : Not sure whats going on there. Orkut: I don't live in Brazil. 12seconds : Seems like a great idea to just be silly in front of a webcam. Myspace: Ugly and I pretty much never go near it. Facebook: Good way to keep in touch with anyone and post videos, pictures, and what not. And technically: Youtube: Good for garbage videos and quick posts. Vimeo: The perfect site for posting video (atleast currently). Viddler: Like the missing link between youtube and

Bonehead & Ongoing Philmont Work

Everywhere my mac goes, my external hard drive goes with it. Smart people edit video from an external drive. Those same people also don't leave their drive at home when they are planning on editing a bunch of footage over the course of the day. Well I guess I'm in the catagory of dumb people... I left my drive next to my printer. I'm really rollin on this Philmont video. I've cut up all the principle footage and I'm in the process of arranging it. Well I guess that is all gonna have to wait until after my nap today. Sucks... On a related topic I have been watching other people's Philmont treks and just falling in love. Check out this picture slideshow trek from 1986: If I have a son I wont push him into scouts but if he does go that route I really hope to go back to Philmont. Such a cool place. In my Philmont reminicising I have been thinking about go old Troop 78. I started searching around the web and can't find any info on them. Troop 202 (the troop f

Testing My Will

I'm trying to get back into the swing of the working out everyday and it's things like this... That make it really hard. If you're close to me you know how much I love junk food. Doughnuts, Ice Cream, Cake, little snacks, junk food, shakes, burgers, candy... oh man I have a problem. Whenever I've gotten my act together and been in good shape it was due to cutting this junk out of my life. You know in Trainspotting where Renton gets busted and splits from the bar with his friends and family to get one last score of heroin, that's me. I admit it, I am an addict. Dabbling in tastiness is a death sentence. You know how people say you can't know what others are thinking? Well I think that also can be applied to taste. To you a doughnut maybe good but to me a tasty doughnut is heaven in sugar and cake form. I am Adam and frosting filled doughnuts are the apple. So maybe one day I'll learn moderation but as it stands today my snacking and secret sweets are out o

11 Years Later

Image
It's never too late. After 11 years and earlier cut destroyed in a computer crash circa 2003, Troop 78's Philmont adventure will finally set the light of day. Check back often for trailers and extended scenes. I hope you're as excited as I am.

For The Record Trailer

So I compiled all the footage I have of eight miles out (and high jinx) and made a little documentary. Here's a little teaser. If you want to see it you're gonna have to visit http://stuntbunny.blogspot.com
