Eddie Morra is an Idiot

For being the smartest man alive Eddie Morra is an idiot, or at least the people who wrote him are. If you haven't seen this film here's the quick and dirty; loser Eddie Morra is given a drug that gives him super smarts and he uses it to help some random company make millions, along the way some bad stuff happens. The problem with all that bad stuff is none of it needed to happen and I'm pretty sure a man with the IQ of Eddie Murra wouldn't have allowed any of it to occur or even take a path that presents them as possible.

See the hook point in the movie is Eddie's first use of super drug NZT, he cleans his apartment, writes the first part of his novel and it wears off. So of course he's instantly hooked, and like all drug addicts, he goes to get more. As soon as he takes his next pill he should realize, "Damn, I have a supply issue here. I need to figure out how to either develop this myself or find out who makes it and get more." He doesn't do that, instead he goes on a crazy stupid journey, i.e. the movie.

There were logical missteps throughout the film, but none of those matter because when you get super crazy smart you shouldn't have to worry about them. Here's what he should have thought about:

1. He's taking a drug that unlocks his entire brain.
2. His brain has this potential without taking the drug.
3. He should figure out how to permanently unlock his brain so doesn't need the drug.
4. He shouldn't go hit the stock market and help some evil tycoon make more millions for himself.

See Mr. Murra has the potential to brew this drug himself because he has total memory recall and super quick learning abilities. He should hit a pharmaceutical library, read every book in a day, and break into a drug lab. I'm sure he could design a single use drug and HOORAY! He has a super brain, no medication necessary. Now that he has his brain unlocked, he can go make millions, stay away from evil tycoons, and live his life will be an nonstop adventure.

So while Limitless was fun, I hated Eddie "Four Digit IQ" Murra because his decision making doesn't reflect his super brain, it reflects a moron.
