Patrick Jones and Search for the Skull

Not an artifact for a bygone era or a relic of a religion long forgotten, NO! Merely a human skull found in the backyard of a San Rafael resident. Why do I mention this? Well I was sent out with my webcam again to search out the dirt on this story and let the world see the HORROR! ...um... there was no horror. Worse yet, there was no signal. The area I was in had no Sprint service so I couldn't slingcam the whole thing back for the web. So instead I just shot some goods and talked with a press cop about the search. Now I will admit this video isn't that great. After learning the that I couldn't broadcast I was a little lost production wise with the purpose of my tape... so I shot it as if it would be edited... well it wasn't and you don't really see much here besides my short interview. I have no clue why the audio is whacked up. I am clipped to the max, hmmm... I'll have to take a look at the camera tomorrow when I get to cbs 5. I hope you guys have a fantasti...

God Works in Mysterious (and Delicious) Ways

Yesterday was a great freaking day. It started out slow, I was feeling kind of blah, but then something amazing happened. A friend reminded me it was free cone day at Ben & Jerry's. After I got off work at 1p I went straight to Ben & Jerry's in Jack London Square to get a delicious cone of their Half Baked. Could there be anything sweeter? How about a two-fer! That's right, Baskin Robbins isn't gonna let B&J get all the good publicity. Infact, they are trying to do them one better. Yes free ice cream is a damn tasty treat, but 31 cent scoops with the money going to charity is pretty sweet as well. That's right, I'll be there getting my fair share of the creamy dreaminess. Got to love free snack give aways! However, couldn't these companies do something better with their lost profits? Why not just give away the equivalent of those lost returns to a country that is in serious need of some food. I mean nothing brings the tempurature on a hot day th...

Procrastinating on Plane Tickets a Bad Idea

Seriously, don't do it. Marieta and I just bought our plane tickets to fly back on the 29th for her bud Sarah's wedding, and let's just say it is not the time of year to wait for deals... or so I think. Last October we bought our tickets for our December trip home to Iowa and we lost two hundred bucks by not waiting. This time, we added 50. I guess airline companies are following the oil industry model; we have no alternative (well, maybe you don't I bike to work) so screw the consumer up the rump until they can't walk straight. Graphic much? Think that's bad? well looking at our trip back in June for Jeremy's (Marieta's older brother) ordination (he's gonna be a priest), its gonna be some heavy coinage. I am not excited for that. Why Gawd why? We need bullet trains, like right now. What's this trip looking like for Pat and his fiancee? I'll fill you in on that as details emerge. Needless to say I think I have one free morning, and I plan on ...

Tastiness is Job Number One

Image
You may or may not know that Marieta and I take pictures of everything we eat, when we eat out. It might be our favorite past time. I'm not exactly sure how or when it started but I know it started in Iowa. Didn't really put much thought into the quality of the pictures till recently. Here are some tasty shots. I don't care if you're a vegetarian or hate Mexican food (you racist), that looks delicious. You want to know the sad thing? It wasn't. It was pretty good, but the tortilla was corn and the ingredients weren't the freshiest... God, every second I spend looking at this picture I just want to get in my car and drive to get a taco. Doesn't matter where, I just need a taco. Holy biscuits. Look at this piece of chocolate. Marieta and I got a few tasty treats over at Charles Chocolates a few weeks ago while were out apartment hunting. Marieta fell in love with them all, I was just... okay with them. This one was great. Wantons from Ching Hua in Alameda. If ...

This Clip Gives Me an Excuse

I pulled this from a little piece on Cracked.com about 7 worst screw ups in home shopping network history. I find this one particularly hilarious. Posting this clip was really just an excuse to point out that I am on my way to the bloggingest year in Stunt Bunny history. That's cool... I guess... ROCK!

The First Round of Rewrites

So yesterday I'm driving to Emeryville to pickup some cupcakes (delicious by the way), and I just grab a couple discs I haven't listened to in a long time; Coheed and Cambria's In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 and Jet's to Brazil's Perfecting Loneliness. Both discs I got back in college, and both I haven't listened to in at least three years. First off, Keeping Secrets , is garbage. Disjointed riffs, zero fluidity, completely inorganic transitions, recording quality that is just piss poor for a national release, and screams that just flat junk. The only redeemable quality is the ocassional catchy lyric. Looking back I don't know why I bought any of their albums. I saw them on accident 2 or 3 times in college (once at mshop for a few bucks, they opened once at gabes, and the warped tour), and I think I may have gotten caught up in the hype. Lame. Now revisiting Perfecting Loneliness is a completely different story. Have you ever bought a book, album, j...
