If I told you this Saturday we're gonna spend over 9 hours sitting in a tight, confined space soaking in other peoples germs I doubt you would envy me. Well what if I told you the reward for that disgusting immune system endurance test was spending a week in Hawaii? Now you're jealous. This Saturday Marieta and I will leave our mainland cares behind and will kick back with tropical drinks on the beautiful island of Kauai. I can hardly wait. That is how bored I am. I haven't seen this film since I went with Dan Givens to the Debut in 1997. I may have only been like 14 but even then I recognized the stupidity of this film. So why am I watching it now? Because it's Sunday and Marieta is out shopping for our Hawaii tripand I have nothing to do but digitize the Brian Hogan archive. I fixed my bike tire earlier but now I'm pretty much bored out of my mind. I think it may be time to get out of this place and go for a bike ride. HOpe your weekend is sugary sweet. Au revoir.

Yesterday was my one month anniversary at CRI. Good times. I've had a handful of stuff on air, been working intermittently on revamping the CRI site, and I'd like to think I've become an integral part of the lunch committee. My seat on the board of lunch-resentatives is still probationary but I think I've proved my worth... Oh Iowa, this is my third time embracing you as a citizen and you have not let me down. We've been busy with old friends, making new ones, taking adventures around Des Moines, and even christened our wedding gifted tent last weekend at Backbone state park. Since the day we got married Marieta has been itching to take pictures in her dress on the California Beach. Well eight months later she got her wish. We drove up and around the Marin Headlands taking pictures and video. It was pretty cool time. We didn't take a thousand pictures but I think we took some good ones. It also helps that while I was running back and forth between being in the frame and the tripod a nice couple with a really nice XLR camera asked if he could help. His pics look great. Its funny how you never notice what you're missing in resolution quality until you have two samples of pics sitting side by side. The dude said he had never taken any wedding pics before but was pretty big into photography. I am so thankful he helped us out.
