If you can't tell I'm a big movie fan. Sadly I don't make enough money to overindulge in my addiction but I try hard to see what I can. I love to follow movie festivals and would one day love to attend the SXSW movie festival in Texas and the Sundance (and across the street SlamDance). So what am I driving at? Taking Chance . I follow firstshowing.net all the time and they recently unveiled a trailer for this flick about a real life Iraq war hero, Chance Phelps , who died trying to save his crew while they were evacuated under fire. This movie carries a lot of promise. If this story carries little message about the right and wrong of the war and truly carries more of a message about soldiers and the reverence they deserve than... I think this film could be huge. Better known as MxPx. I love this song. I used to love this group until they completely took a dive off credibility and quality diving board. I recently popped Slowly Going the Way ... and Life in General in my cd player. Completely awesome stuff. It's been a pretty relaxed weekend; Finished up the registry shopping, saw a couple flicks ( Step Brothers [completely ridiculous] and P.S. I Love You [Marieta cried through the whole thing), and today I'm taking care of my sick wife. I wish I had more to share... (go bears).
